I'm currently playing for the Southern Empire. I'm not even that far in yet and Rhagaea is throwing castles at me like there's no tomorrow. I didn't even help her with any battles or sieges since I joined the kingdom. I just keep fighting smaller groups of minor clans on the enemy's side so I can let their leaders go and get some cookie points for possible later recruitment.

i dont think the siege engines ones was something new to anyone? i mean the symbols dont make it too un-obvious....

Honestly smithing is something I can't not do once I figured out how profitable two handed swords get. Or least get to 25 smithing to just turn a town's hardwood into charcoal free profit

So either you use some kind of "Javelins weight 300KG" or "Throw Javelins like Zeus" mod...

Meanwhile me Just Going around Executing Every single Lord i get as a prisoner while having a Single party of 345 Elite Troops and Fucking over Vlandia, Battania, and Sturgia, And I'm soon to fuck over the Entirety of the Empire, and the Asurai, whilst using my Kingdom as an Excuse for Them to declare war with me, they may argue About who's the rightful emperor, but they agree on this, I'm, an Absolute Asshole.

Ranged siege weapons reload ammunition on retreat the same way as bows. Which means if you square up your melee and mass archers in 1 big group on 1 side, you can take a 1000 defender town or castle with sub 10 casualties or even none by targetting the melee with ranged siege and leaving the rest to your massed archers. More effective if you destroy the walls before hand and they mass behind the breach in a nice big ball.

First playthrough here, accidentally accepted a merc contract from the Aserai immediately before everyone decided to genocide them. Finally got a 50-man army just to get thrown in prison and sold into slavery upon trying to turn a quest in lmao. I am now naked and afraid. What's next?

bring a 1k army and blow up the walls. The more troops you bring, the siege equipment builds faster. You can easily break the walls with trebuches and casually walk in and kill everyone.

Just started playing this game. Started with Battania, became a vassal and helped them out, started helping them out in wars and accidentally upgraded my troops too much and went bankrupt. Love this game though, going to start a new game I haven’t decided what faction though, I’m gonna try and do some smithing this time as I didn’t craft a single weapon on my first game.

Also if you have a beefed out companion and hes in your party you can go to a tournament and click watch if one of em win you get the price lol

Can also build seige engines and pause the game then put in reserves and continue that until you can quick build all of em, instanly destroys there keeps seige stuff

I’m like a year late , but I started my own kingdom too early in my khuzair cause I didnt even have enough money in my first playthru But I redeemed myself in another playthru as an aserai I saved 2 million denars and still only had 100k left recruiting 4 clans💀(still took over the world in my aserai playthru)

I'd say with the exception of the last one, depending on hour expirienced you are you can get away with it. But these are still amazing tips for people just starting out

Also in sturgia, you can buy a lot of Time if you don’t claim the outside castle and make sure to loose your outside castle or city. You will be isolated until one sturgian castle is taken

Two "problems" Ive never experienced. The early game looter meme is one. You can have 20 troops like almost literally immediately and looters are no problem. Second "problem." Too many troops and too many upgraded troops. Nope. Again I get max troops and upgrade them immediately from the start. Just killing looters and bandit camps and joining the occasional army for a seige and raiding and youll have more money and food than you know what to do with.

0 learning curve. Slow, glacial boring gameplay. Poor interface and terrible tutorials. Game need at least another decade in the oven. (yes the game took 10 fucking years to make, rip)

to be honest the best companion is your cousin or brother but in sandbox none of that

Smithing is a waste of time, just fight huge battles and you'll make 50-100k from loot alone while also having fun

The Tribute are hard i was at one savegame i have like 10citys and castle i earn enoth money got like 3 mill and i name some of my companions to lords... but they havent enouth money to get trupps i give them like 2 citys all of them but only one of 4 lords get like 60 trupps idk. Is it they must pay tribut like me as the king?
